  • Spreading: East -, central -, and north Australia, some surroundings islands, original from Tasmania
  • Habitat: originally forest areas and grass country with tree existence in the halfdry zone, today all open landscapes
  • Way of life: there-faithfully, pairs collect themselves to loose federations, continue to themselves remove however rarely as 10 km from the breeding tree
  • Nutrition: herb-like plants, grain (above all wheat and oats), fruits, berries, nuts, roots, blooms, buds, insects and their larvas
